These are the notes for the patch released this morning.
- Added PVP Damage Reduction ( 1/3 dmg done )
- Adjusted Bodyshots 1-3 to be in line with rifle’s mind shots, carbine leg shots. Bodyshots were over-performing.
- Adjusted Body, Mind, Leg Shot HAM costs to be closer to each other.
- Increased the chance for Weapons to decay on attack to 25% without a PUP, 35% with a PUP
- Increased the chance for Weapons to decay on attack to 25% without a PUP, 35% with a PUP

To be honest, I would have preferred to see mind- and leg shot be brought up to the level of body shot. Ranged skills seem to be in ferior to melee skills as it was pre-patch.
I mean, when I tend to fare better using a starter CDEF survival knife than a master crafted pistol, especially when keeping COB in mind, that is an indication for me – purely subjrctive as it may be – that ranged attacks need a buff, not a nerf.
Yeah, I tend to agree with Ryian on this one.
4x damage muiltiplier with a 1xdelay is super strong..then add in the fact that bodyshot hits only health..that would be game breaking in pvp..The nerf makes sense.
also take a look at this if you feel ranged and melee attacks are not equal..they all have basically the same multipliers/delays and with ranged you can drop most things before they even get to you as long as you aren’t pulling 10 at once. Pistols especially make this easy..knockdown/kill. http://www.swgcalc.x10.mx/ Also ranged generally has more choices of damage type.
