Biography: Fou-Darr was born around 33 BBY in Wortan, Iridonia to archaeologists Rena and Aobruu Risian, who moved there primarily to raise him. Rather than complete the traditional adulthood trials, he left Iridonia at 14 to join an Antarian Ranger chapter, having been enchanted by tales of their adventures with Rahm Kota’s militia.
The Kota militia connections placed the Rangers frequently in outer rim territories. It was there, through the Rangers, that Fou-Darr met the Jedi Guardian Iothran as well as other acquaintances which would later form his job crew.
Based out the town of New Antaria, Naboo, the Rangers of Fou-Darr’s chapter began diverting credits from their organics supply business into the Alliance effort against the Empire. By the time of the Battle of Yavin, many of the Rangers in the chapter had formally joined the Alliance — including Fou-Darr, who enlisted with the Alliance Elite Guard (AEG) under Lieutenant Commander Adazian Liebke. Much more than honor guards, the AEG performed secret service protections for the highest echelons the Rebellion leadership, often entrusted to protect or move high value assets to safety, and worked with Alliance Intelligence to identify and investigate credible threats against Alliance leadership.
Exposed to the ravages of the Civil War, Fou-Darr was disturbed by the degree of suffering left in its wake, and set on a course to make a difference where he could.
Fou-Darr managed to acquire an Alliance YKL-37R troop transport ship slated to be decommissioned and scraped. He converted the ship into a cargo freighter with crew cabin. The contractor he selected for the conversion was Vin-Huppe Heavy Industries. It was the experience with this contractor and it’s amoral owner, Lister Vin-Huppe, that prompted Fou-Darr to execute a heist from the contractor in order to compensate a village he felt had been harmed by its profiteering.
Following the Vin-Huppe heist Fou-Darr began an unsanctioned, private war relief campaign, swindling war profiteers out of resources where possible but pirating from them when necessary in order to fund the operation.
Eventually attracting Imperial attention, the Ranger enclave New Antaria, Naboo was assaulted and sacked. While the town was under fire, Fou-Darr was promoted to the rank of a Master Councilman for his chapter by the Antarian Ranger high council and immediately charged with orders to protect important archives during the assault. It quickly became apparent that emergency evacuation was the only viable option and Fou-Darr successfully oversaw it - saving lives and valuable archives in the process. Following the destruction of New Antaria, Fou-Darr and other surviving ranking AR established a new outpost - Antaria’s Hope, Rori. But many of the Rangers of this chapter had been either MIA, KIA, or gone into hiding.
Eventually Fou-Darr left Antaria’s Hope to re-focus on the war efforts, and run war relief operations up until the Battle of Endor.
It was during the Battle of Endor that the Alliance gunship “Resolute”, where Fou-Darr was stationed, suffered a bridge breach and decompression event that disabled the crew after it came under enemy fire. Fou-Darr crash landed the Resolute and led survivors to a rebel rally point, actions for which he received multiple decorations. Following Endor, he was offered and accepted a transfer into Alliance shipping and logistics operations.
Fou-Darr’s relief supply crew unceremoniously disbanded when a collision during a job in Corellian space resulted in the loss of life of a cargo of younglings and the crash of his ship. Upon advice from friends in strategic places in the Alliance, he left the Alliance with an honorable discharge rather than risk word of his operation becoming known to Alliance or the newly forming NR command. These events spun Fou-Darr into bouts of deep despair, and he spent several months hustling miscellaneous gigs and contract work of various kinds before eventually gaining long term work as personal security for Fate Corporation based out of New Zeltros, Naboo.
